Thanksgiving is right around the corner and, in my opinion, there’s no better way to spend thanksgiving than to do so healthfully! This will be the third straight year that I participate in a “turkey trop” run/walk 8k. I think that a little bit of exercise with thousands of other participants on a nice crisp Thanksgiving day is the greatest way to head into the feast that follows.
Turkey day events are pretty common now, so I suggest that you do a quick search for events in your area and sign up! Don’t even think twice. Just do it and start preparing! If you plan on walking, hit the streets and walk! If you plan on jogging, put on your shoes and get to work!
Either way, sign up and have fun! Burn a few calories early in the morning and feel good about thanksgiving! Don’t forget that is the best way to help you lose those extra inches, especially when you combine it with a healthy dose of exercise!
